Can I just say that I am tired today? I am flat out tired. The coffee is still brewing and I feel like I need toothpicks to hold my eyelids up. My dream of a rainy day with a book yesterday did not happen...and today the last day of summer vacation with the kidos. They want to go creek walking. So all hail the power of coffee and if we make it to the creek COLD water. :-) My dad laughed when I said the kids want Pap to go creek walking with them. He said in that cold water...hahahaha. So after coffee its to the farm and then too the creek....gotta love the mountains, but love coffee more!

name change...
Yes, I did just change the name of the blog back to my original title...hope ya'll don't mind... I just kept thinking...I write and those that are reading I really do not know... This title has been around in my notebooks for years...its actually what I call the collection of poetry I have...visit my profile and click on A whirl of confusion to read my poetry... And hey for those reading...Thanks!!!
Its a rainy day...
It is a rainy day, but the baby is sleeping and so is Kenz. The Gavster is reading on the couch and the hubby is sleep too. Peaceful morning. I've been sitting here reading blogs and drinking coffee...my new morning habit. School starts on Monday...Oh glorious school and quiet house during the day! Not that I don't love my kidos, but as the summer comes to an end their patience with one another has dwindled. I keep thinking to myself I should be working on my story...I want to write but know that the interruptions that will follow in the next half hour. So I jot notes down for a nice writing day. Like when the kids are in school. I also have a new guilty pleasure, Jane Green novels. I know many of you have already read her books, but I was never a chick lit reader. I always read suspense, non fiction, crime, and Harry Potter novels...but having found Jane's blog first and books at a book sale in Delaware I picked two up and they are fantastic reads. Now for those of you who know me I am a chick flick pro but chick lit is a new frontier for me. So on the lovely rainy day...where my soup (thinking of you Ar) is already made!! I think it is going to be a curl up with a good book day for all (except hubby)!!!
Currently reading: Second Chance by Jane Green
My recommendations for books that I couldn't put down and I read in one to three days (I have kids or they would all have been read in one day):
My Sister's Keeper (Great tearjerker)
Angels & Demons (fantastic read)
Anything Harry Potter (come on now its Harry who doesn't love Harry)
The Other Woman (fantastic read about Mother in laws and finding middle ground)

Just another day...
So today is actually a down day for me compared to the past few days...running back and forth over the mountains to the hospital and back. Between kidos doctor visits and family in the hospital we keep joking that we should just move into one of the rooms. It would save a lot of gas! Today still has it chore list and things to do, and for all we know we could still end up driving over the mountains to the hospital again...but it is a much more relaxed day. Tomorrow on the other hand is going to be a LONG day. I know I haven't been writing much...on any of my blogs...but that is just because I've been so busy. But school starts soon and two of my three will be attending so that will give more time to the words that want to come out on paper (or screen). Any who...off to reality and to do lists!

quiet...
The quiet of the countryside is such a nice break from the constant of town. But each has its own sound. In the country you hear the birds, the cows, the cats waiting for breakfast, and the occassional car. In town it is the cars, people, birds, lawn mowers, weedeaters, doors, and so forth...a never ending sympony of sounds. And both places have their own wind sounds...depending upon mother natures feeling of the day the wind could be swift or soft, harsh or welcoming, cool or warm. It is always changing. I do not think I could choose between the two, for both are quiet in their own way.
