Hello Tired....

Tired is my theme of the week in case you haven't noticed. This week has been adjusting to a new routine. With summer coming to an end, the alarm clock now becomes my new friend. First I get up (like I haven't been up all night with the baby), head downstairs and make coffee (my favorite friend) and then, going back up stairs, get two kidos up and lay out their clothes for school. I attempted to layout the clothes the night before but with the coldness of the morning the kidos change their minds from shorts to pants. So I grab the clothes in the morning. Today was purple and white day...oh the fun in finding purple for my son (rolling eyes)....So once they are dressed or dressing I change quickly and head downstairs to get breakfast ready for them...(no please remember my darling daughter is a food allergy child which makes an meal a chore because so also PICKY)...Then I pack Kenz lunch and that seems to take forever because I have to make sure she'll eat it (I'm batting zero right now)...Then its make sure everything is in the book bags...get the baby dressed...who had a bottle at some point between waking and getting kidos breakfast....and then everyone gets their shoes on and its the other stairs to load the baby in the stroller and start our walk (down hill) to the school/bus stop (Kenz school/Gav's bus stop). Then we stand there (me, Gav, and the baby...because Kenz gets to go right into her school) and wait for the bus. Once Gav is on the bus I walk back home (up hill)...Once home the baby goes down for a nap and I enjoy peace and quiet...okay so I haven't got to enjoy the peace and quiet yet as my week has been filled with appointments BUT today is my day!! I did however get to finish my book Second Chance by Jane Green last night!!! Finally!!! I would have been finished sooner if I would have had more time to read! It was a great book! I am now starting a Nora Roberts 3 book series with flowers in their titles...the first book is called The Blue Dalila. I've never read Nora Roberts before but it was a recommended read by Tina. Any way I need more coffee... :-) ...so I am off to enjoy the quiet...clean...write...maybe sketch...cook...play on facebook...and email...that is until the baby wakes up!! TTFN

sleep....lunch
So with the kidos back at school you would think that I have a ton of time on my hands…BUT no. My to do list seems to have grown and there are doctors appointments. And boy am I tired. It seems that since I now have to get up early to get the kids ready that the baby has decided to no longer sleep through the night and oh when she is sleeping another one of the kids is awake. So my new best friend is COFFEE! Okay who am I kidding coffee has ALWAYS been my best friend…but as of this week I’m highly more dependent on it! And I hear you…take a nap while the kids are at school but that darn to do list is there and stuff needs to be done. One of the items on my darling to do list is finding lunchy stuff for my daughter to eat. She is on a no soy, milk, wheat, nut, egg, seafood, and apple diet, due to food allergies. And so far has not eaten her lunch (which I have to pack everyday) at school. Now my already petite darling is losing weight…which is not good. So any ideas out there I’d love to hear them. I’ve already tried: hummus and crackers, cereal with rice milk, salsa rice. The school will not heat anything up for her. I plan on baking her sandwich bread this weekend (she didn’t like the last bread I made from the gluten free section of the store). Any who…off to the bus!

The power of coffee...
Can I just say that I am tired today? I am flat out tired. The coffee is still brewing and I feel like I need toothpicks to hold my eyelids up. My dream of a rainy day with a book yesterday did not happen...and today the last day of summer vacation with the kidos. They want to go creek walking. So all hail the power of coffee and if we make it to the creek COLD water. :-) My dad laughed when I said the kids want Pap to go creek walking with them. He said in that cold water...hahahaha. So after coffee its to the farm and then too the creek....gotta love the mountains, but love coffee more!

name change...
Yes, I did just change the name of the blog back to my original title...hope ya'll don't mind... I just kept thinking...I write and those that are reading I really do not know... This title has been around in my notebooks for years...its actually what I call the collection of poetry I have...visit my profile and click on A whirl of confusion to read my poetry... And hey for those reading...Thanks!!!
Its a rainy day...
It is a rainy day, but the baby is sleeping and so is Kenz. The Gavster is reading on the couch and the hubby is sleep too. Peaceful morning. I've been sitting here reading blogs and drinking coffee...my new morning habit. School starts on Monday...Oh glorious school and quiet house during the day! Not that I don't love my kidos, but as the summer comes to an end their patience with one another has dwindled. I keep thinking to myself I should be working on my story...I want to write but know that the interruptions that will follow in the next half hour. So I jot notes down for a nice writing day. Like when the kids are in school. I also have a new guilty pleasure, Jane Green novels. I know many of you have already read her books, but I was never a chick lit reader. I always read suspense, non fiction, crime, and Harry Potter novels...but having found Jane's blog first and books at a book sale in Delaware I picked two up and they are fantastic reads. Now for those of you who know me I am a chick flick pro but chick lit is a new frontier for me. So on the lovely rainy day...where my soup (thinking of you Ar) is already made!! I think it is going to be a curl up with a good book day for all (except hubby)!!!
Currently reading: Second Chance by Jane Green
My recommendations for books that I couldn't put down and I read in one to three days (I have kids or they would all have been read in one day):
My Sister's Keeper (Great tearjerker)
Angels & Demons (fantastic read)
Anything Harry Potter (come on now its Harry who doesn't love Harry)
The Other Woman (fantastic read about Mother in laws and finding middle ground)

Just another day...
So today is actually a down day for me compared to the past few days...running back and forth over the mountains to the hospital and back. Between kidos doctor visits and family in the hospital we keep joking that we should just move into one of the rooms. It would save a lot of gas! Today still has it chore list and things to do, and for all we know we could still end up driving over the mountains to the hospital again...but it is a much more relaxed day. Tomorrow on the other hand is going to be a LONG day. I know I haven't been writing much...on any of my blogs...but that is just because I've been so busy. But school starts soon and two of my three will be attending so that will give more time to the words that want to come out on paper (or screen). Any who...off to reality and to do lists!

quiet...
The quiet of the countryside is such a nice break from the constant of town. But each has its own sound. In the country you hear the birds, the cows, the cats waiting for breakfast, and the occassional car. In town it is the cars, people, birds, lawn mowers, weedeaters, doors, and so forth...a never ending sympony of sounds. And both places have their own wind sounds...depending upon mother natures feeling of the day the wind could be swift or soft, harsh or welcoming, cool or warm. It is always changing. I do not think I could choose between the two, for both are quiet in their own way.

write, write, right...
So...I have all these blogs...yes this isn't my only one. To keep me writing every day or so. I've been a little busy. Doctor appointments and such. And more to come. I've been reading a lot of blogs and some are wonderful, I so need to step up my writing. All I need is more time or a housekeeper....LOL. With not being really "home" the past couple of days its been a drop and run. Well the running is over and now I have to clean up all the dropping...lol... So as for time to write write...right.

Over the River and through the woods...
To another doctor's appointment we go. I'm beginning to feel like I should just move into the hospital. However I really cannot complain...even though the kids issues are small compared to others in the hospital, it is nice to know that they will be as healthy as they can be...in Kenz's sake with or without MiraLAX. Today is a well check for Maddie, a follow up for Kenz, and poor Gav we get to tell the doctor that he got bit by a tick. Tomorrow we make the trek again but only for Gav to see the peds endocrinologist...fun fun fun. Through all of this you would think that the kids would hate going to the doctors....but nope...they love their docs!! They just hate the needles or shots...or in the phrasing of Kenz "needle shots". Okay its off to prepare the diaper bag and activity bag!!!!

Somewhere in the Mountains
Somewhere in the mountains...squirrels play tag, a deer sips from a mountain spring, a momma bird teaches her babies to fly. Somewhere in the mountains...berries begin to grow on a bush, moss is found on a tree, a flower blossoms in a sun spot. Somewhere in the mountains a tree begins to fall, a bear hides in a cave, a hiker finds a new trail. Somewhere in the mountains the sun begins to set.
